Life split как сделать поверх окон

Hi,
First I have the box check for "always on top" on livesplit, my game is in full screen widowed mode (slay the spire) and here is my issue :
Livesplit isnt on top of my game and when I record if I capture the window it only record the things that are moving (the timer) rest (my splits) arent showed
help ^^
EDIT : Changing the windows theme mode makes the livesplit window less bugged it works when recorded but its not on top of my game

As far as I know, windows cant be on top of a fullscreen one, so either dont use fullscreen or dont see the timer

Make the game go to windowed mode and move it to one side and drag the timer to the other side.

I'm in windowed mode but its like "semi" windowed mode, there is no 'pure' windowed mode so I supose I cant have it on top
At least the livesplit is showed fully when recorded so its something, will be better when I get my 2nd monitor back

So I'm new to speedrunning and I want to do a practice run. I want to see how I am doing while playing in-game on one screen. I looked at other threads and they say to get a second screen but I don't have one right now. Others have said to use OBS but they give a really complex explanation. I just want to test what I can do.

Can you please explain further what you're asking about? I think you're asking how to be able to see the timer while running, but I'm not certain as you may also be talking about record the run.

don't make your game fullscreen (stick to 1600x900 res. or lower) and put livesplit somewhere on your screen.
if you want to set livesplit on obs: add a window capture w/ obs on your scene, and move the capture anywhere you want.

If you have a TV with an HDMI port, you have your second monitor. Just connect an HDMI cable from the computer to the TV and you're all set.

@ Lieutenant_Boo I want to see the timer while I'm speedrunning the game. I streamed a practice run on twitch and I used OBS but I had problems such as I had to ALT-TAB out of the game to see if the timer was working or issues with hotkeys. I just want to see the timer while playing the game so I don't have to get my phone and look at my stream to see if it's working or not.

@ M e k a r a z i u m I tried that and my game just crashes. It's more stable when it's at fullscreen. I tried OBS and it works but I am asking to see the timer while I am speedrunning. I want to see the game at 1080p and at fullscreen.
(Be sure to also enable the Always on Top setting that Nariom pointed out. right click -> edit layout -> layout settings -> always on top)

@ M e h i s S p e e d u n M e h i s S p e e d u n What program are you using to record, and how do you have it set up? It seems it's not capturing your timer, most likely because you haven't assigned a capture to record LiveSplit.

I would recommend using broadcasting software like OBS instead if you wish to build a capture that has more than one source on it. My guess is that whatever built in screen recorder you're using is only picking up one source, rather than multiple (or maybe the game is covering LiveSplit). OBS is the defacto-standard for recording video when you want to build a layout that has a game and other sources as well.

Quick Question (I didn't found anything about that ):
What/How is the "best" way to configure LiveSplit? I had no problem with Setting Hotkeys and using them (although I don't understand them exactly atm xD), but thats it. I tried it by doing a "Game Dev" Speedrun, but don't know if it works correctly.
Are there any Tutorials or stuff like that?

Right Click > Edit Layout to edit stuffs relative to graphical rendering
Right Click > Settings
Right Click > Edit Splits to edit splits
There is no "best" way to configure LiveSplit, just different games, differents layouts, different way to display your timer.
Global Hotkeys are used to key-bind the controls of LiveSplit.
The most useful keybind is obviously "Start/Split" that allows you to start your LiveSplit™.
The second most useful keybind is the most horrific one, the Reset (aka "RIP run :'(")
Then, there are two key-binds that I personaly find very handy: "Undo Split" & "Skip Split" that allows you to go back to a split (in case you missplitted) and to skip a split (in case you forgot to split).
Switching Comparison is useful in case you want to compare in case you want to display a lot of comparisons.
Global Hotkeys is something that allows you to use hotkeys even when you have no focus on the window (well not really sure).

By now, I also found a page which has downloadable Splits for different Games, so I figured the rest out.

I need to move myself over to using live splits or at least try it in comparison to WSplit.
But most times configuration comes down to personal feel and how you want to lay it out.
I've seen more commonly; that splits are either Vertically for more precise and showing information on individual splits,
and Horizontally for Runs that tend to have less focus on individual splits but more on the overall times for the run.
Do it how its best visible for you and use hotkeys you are comfortable with and do not use normally for other things, I suggest maybe the right side keypad area as and ideal hotkey placement. ❤️

Спасибо за видос, очень помогло, но есть одна загвоздка, таймер в фуллскрине не отображается, а в оконном режиме играть невозможно, да и фпс маленький, хз почему, помоги!

я все настроил захожу в игру хочу сделать тест,а из за того что live split сворачивается хоткеи с таймером не робят,а если открыт live split игра не робит и я хз шо делать, подскажи пожалуйста)
