Nulla Vale is a small dwelling and shed located on a large former grazing site. The structure anticipates a more permanent home to be built at some stage in the future. Early settler homes and rural shed types are referenced in the design. The Shed and House are identical in their overall dimensions and from a distance, their silhouette is the familiar gable ended form commonly associated with farming sheds. Up close, however, the two structures are clearly defined as shed and house through the material, void, and volume. The shed was custom designed by us directly with a shed fabrication company using their systems to create a shed that is part storage part entryways. Clad entirely in heritage grade corrugated galvanized iron with a roof oriented and pitched to maximize solar exposure through the seasons. The House is constructed from salvaged bricks and corrugated iron in addition to rough sawn timber and new galvanized roofing on pre-engineered timber trusses that are left exposed both inside and out. Materials were selected to meet the clients’ brief that house fit within the cognitive idea of an ‘old shed’. Internally the finishes are the same as outside, no plasterboard and no paint. LED lighting strips concealed on top of the rafters reflect light off the foil-backed insulation. The house provides the means to eat, sleep and wash in a space that is part of the experience of being on the site and not removed from it.
Limeslurry is the perfect look for aging brick. This home is a 100 year old farmhouse with an addition. The mortar joints were weathered and nearly an inch deep. The lime slurry transforms with a new, sculpted look. Lime slurry also adds structural integrity: filling mortar joints and locking in aging brick. Because it is lime-based the brick is still able to breath. A strong improvement that highlights the architecture of the home and the striking landscaping.
The design objective for this six acre ocean view parcel in Montecito was to create a literal replication of an 1800's California hacienda. Four adobe structures define the central courtyard while secondary terraces and walled gardens expand the living areas towards the views and morning light. Simple, rustic details and traditional, handmade materials evoke a lifestyle of a distant era.
This beautiful southern cottage was inspired by old french country architecture. The front window has a rustic wood beam to add charm to the front exterior and bring out the colors of the Old Texas brick. The porch has a wood ceiling and rustic shutter. Large windows, copper accents, open rafter tails, and a comfortable back porch with an outdoor fireplace create that charming appeal to this southern cottage designed by Bob Chatham Custom Home Design. It was skillfully built by Chris Achee of Achee Builders and beautifully decorated by Sheila Ward.

The design of this home was driven by the owners’ desire for a three-bedroom waterfront home that showcased the spectacular views and park-like setting. As nature lovers, they wanted their home to be organic, minimize any environmental impact on the sensitive site and embrace nature. This unique home is sited on a high ridge with a 45° slope to the water on the right and a deep ravine on the left. The five-acre site is completely wooded and tree preservation was a major emphasis. Very few trees were removed and special care was taken to protect the trees and environment throughout the project. To further minimize disturbance, grades were not changed and the home was designed to take full advantage of the site’s natural topography. Oak from the home site was re-purposed for the mantle, powder room counter and select furniture. The visually powerful twin pavilions were born from the need for level ground and parking on an otherwise challenging site. Fill dirt excavated from the main home provided the foundation. All structures are anchored with a natural stone base and exterior materials include timber framing, fir ceilings, shingle siding, a partial metal roof and corten steel walls. Stone, wood, metal and glass transition the exterior to the interior and large wood windows flood the home with light and showcase the setting. Interior finishes include reclaimed heart pine floors, Douglas fir trim, dry-stacked stone, rustic cherry cabinets and soapstone counters. Exterior spaces include a timber-framed porch, stone patio with fire pit and commanding views of the Occoquan reservoir. A second porch overlooks the ravine and a breezeway connects the garage to the home. Numerous energy-saving features have been incorporated, including LED lighting, on-demand gas water heating and special insulation. Smart technology helps manage and control the entire house. A uniform and cohesive look adds simplicity to the overall aesthetic, supporting the minimalist design. The A5s is Glo’s slimmest profile, allowing for more glass, less frame, and wider sightlines. The concealed hinge creates a clean interior look while also providing a more energy-efficient air-tight window. The increased performance is also seen in the triple pane glazing used in both series. The windows and doors alike provide a larger continuous thermal break, multiple air seals, high-performance spacers, Low-E glass, and argon filled glazing, with U-values as low as 0.20. Energy efficiency and effortless minimalism create a breathtaking Scandinavian-style remodel.

Doubling as a custom jewelry studio and guest retreat, the cottage’s timeless design was inspired by old National Parks rough-stone shelters that the owners had fallen in love with. A single living space boasts custom built-ins for jewelry work, a Murphy bed for overnight guests, and a stone fireplace for warmth and relaxation. Требования к проекту дома в рустикальном стиле
Чтобы начать стройку вам нужно избрать сначала вид эскиза, по которому будем возводить жилье ваше:
- Готовый тип проекта.
- Индивидуальный вариант эскиза.
Каждый стиль имеет свои особенные черты, как и у данного направления, а также есть требования в проекте: минимализм в декоре, используют холстину, фаянс, грубо обработанный камень, толстые доски.
- Фасад. Он делается из дерева, если строение на один этаж, а если на два этажа, то первый выполняется из природного камня.
- Окна. Они большие, панорамные, а на втором этаже, как правило, закругленные вверх.
- Крыша. Кровля выступает сильно за фундамент, и она большая, покатая, с дымоходом, сделанным из камня.
- Этажи. Здание на один, два этажа плюс мансардное помещение.
- Внутренняя отделка. В декоре используются натуральные материалы, а доминирует камень, дерево.
В основном данное направление в оформлении используют для загородных вил, где человек старается отдохнуть от проблем, суеты в тишине. Здесь вы увидите минимум роскоши, помпезности, все довольно просто и лаконично.
Итог. Строения в этом стиле имеют один или два этажа, кровлю, которая очень выступает за края основы, просторную мансарду, каменный дымоход и мощным коньком. Также более подробно о характерных чертах этого направления можно прочитать здесь о стилях домов, а после этого делать выбор.

У нас что спрашивать: «Какой кирпич самый хороший?». Мы отвечаем, что выбор оттенка и рельефа — на любителя, рассказываем о характеристиках и свойствах. На этом вроде и все, но касаемо белого кирпича есть отдельное мнение. Как вариант хорошего белого кирпича — стеновой материал Старооскольского кирпичного завода.
Не весь белый кирпич одинаков
Белоснежный оттенок стенового материала — не всегда хорошо. Не стоит выбирать белый кирпич по принципу яркости цвета. Для этого производители используют дополнительный пигмент — мел. Не самая лучшая добавка — в процессе эксплуатации снижается процент водопоглощения в худшую сторону. Мел впитывает влагу, способствуя солевой коррозии и разрушению облицовки спустя непродолжительное время. На такой стене через пару лет образуются желтые несмываемые пятна или потемнения.
Почему Староосколький белый кирпич один из лучших
Завод Старого Оскола соблюдает правильную технологию изготовления белого кирпича, не добавляя ингредиентов, которые бы снизили качество и увеличили процент водопоглощения. На вид материал напоминает оттенок кофе с молоком или светло-бежевый. Старооскольский белый используется для фасадов как основное полотно или в качестве зонирования на торцах здания. Чтобы облицовывать дома из белого кирпича от земли, Старооскольский завод начинает выпуск полнотелого белого кирпича для оформления цоколя.
Коллекция белого цвета выпускается в форматах 0,7нф, 1нф, 1,4н. Рельеф — гладкий, бархат, рустик. Производится с утолщенной стенкой 25 мм. Учитывая массовое строительство под пруток в нашей стране, наличие утолщенной стенки имеет значение. Если она меньше 20 мм, то при укладке по пруток возникает риск затекания воды в технологические пустоты. Марочная прочность М-175, морозостойкость 100 циклов.
Нюансы монтажа старооскольского кирпича рустик
На лицевой поверхности кирпича рустик рельефная сторона на ложке и на одном только тычке. Второй тычок гладкий, при подрезке в работу не идет. Это надо учитывать при расчете количества материала на объект. Или осуществлять кладку не в полкирпича , а в целый.
При кладке на поддоны кирпич прокладывается бумагой, чтобы избежать трения верхнего ряда материала о нижний и образования потертостей на лицевой поверхности.
